Henry Plauche Dart III was one of the founders of the Natural Philosophy Foundation (NPF), the parent of the Natural Philosophy Alliance (NPA).

     Henry Plauche Dart III, a lawyer, died Tuesday at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. He was 84. Mr. Dart was born in New Orleans, moved to Tucson, Ariz., in 1981, and returned to New Orleans in 2000. He practiced law in New Orleans. In Tucson, he worked on astronomy, geology and other research papers that were presented to the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Survivors include two sons, Henry T. and Thomas E. Dart; two daughters, Charlotte Dart Crusta and Susan Dart Horne; and two sisters, Ninette Dart and Susan Dart McCutcheon. A Mass will be said Saturday at 10 a.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Metairie Cemetery.PHOTO

     Henry Plauche Dart III, died on Tuesday, October 23, 2001 at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. Age 84 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry P. Dart, Jr. and Suzanne Dupaquier Dart and his brothers Roger and Edward Dart. He is survived by four children, Henry T. Dart, Charlotte Dart Crusta, Susan Dart Horne, Thomas E. Dart and ten grandchildren. He is survived by his former wife, Warreene Tutt, sisters, Ninette Dart and Susan Dart McCutcheon.        
     Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday morning, October 27, 2001 at 10:00 AM at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., (in Metairie Cemetery). Visitation begins at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Northwood Catholic School, 17190 Beaver Springs Drive, Houston, TX, 77090.
