Each page in this category corresponds to a value that appears in the fields parameter of Template:Infobox scientist — for example Physicist, Electrical Engineer or Independent Researcher — and serves as an index to every researcher recorded under that description.

Note that the fields parameter is used on this wiki for two different kinds of value: occupations (collected here) and subject disciplines such as Physics, Cosmology and Relativity, which have their own topic articles.
