Gary C. Vesperman is an American independent researcher, technical writer, and self-described new-energy consultant based in Boulder City, Nevada. He is best known as a compiler and archivist who has assembled extensive catalogs of what he describes as "clean energy" and "new energy" inventions, along with widely circulated compilations of alleged energy-invention suppression cases. His claims regarding torsion-field devices, self-powered vehicles, and radioactivity neutralization fall well outside the scientific mainstream.
Biography
Vesperman earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1968. He subsequently worked for many years as a technical writer in California's Silicon Valley, reportedly for some eighteen technology companies as well as EG&G Special Projects. He later settled in southern Nevada, living for a time in Henderson and Las Vegas before relocating to Boulder City.
Away from his technical-writing career, Vesperman pursued long-running personal projects, including a decades-long hobby designing an advanced educational computer network. In the winter of 1992, with the backing of the Clark County School District, he submitted a proposal to the New American Schools Development Corporation for a prototype fiber-optic school network to be installed in six junior and senior high schools; the proposal, one of hundreds of entries, was not selected.
Work
Vesperman is primarily known for compiling and publicizing collections of unconventional energy and technology inventions. He has stated that he acts as a communications bridge between inventors and potential investors, gathering descriptions of claimed devices and attempting to draw public and funding attention to them.
His best-known compilation is the exhibit and document "Gallery of Clean Energy Inventions," which presents profiles of numerous claimed generators, self-powered electric vehicles, radioactivity-neutralization methods, space-travel innovations, and water-shortage solutions, together with a proposed torsion-field school network. Related compilations tally hundreds of purported energy, materials, communications, agriculture, and radioactive-waste-treatment inventions. He has also assembled a document titled "History of 'New Energy' Invention Suppression Cases," which catalogs dozens of instances he characterizes as suppression of energy discoveries by established industries and government.
Vesperman has described himself as the originator of a concept incorporated into a patent application for torsion-field communications, which he claimed could carry vast numbers of communication channels through the Earth. Devices and mechanisms he has promoted, such as orgone-based fuel-efficiency accumulators, thorium power generators, and Brown's-gas nuclear-waste neutralization, are not accepted by mainstream science, and Vesperman himself has acknowledged that he does not present the underlying physics in detail. His writings and compilations are archived on the PADRAK website and have circulated within the alternative-energy and dissident-science communities.
Beginning in the spring of 2013, Vesperman served as a volunteer member of the National Space Society's Breakthrough Science and Technology Committee. In 2011 he sought funding to exhibit alternative-energy inventions at the National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas.
