William Henry Owen (born 23 September 1941) is an Australian independent researcher and writer based in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales. He is known for a series of articles, published mainly in the 1990s and early 2000s, that question Einstein's special theory of relativity and other elements of mainstream physics.
Biography
Owen was born on 23 September 1941. He has stated that he has extremely minimal formal education in physics and that he left mathematics classes at the age of 14, in April 1955 – the month in which Einstein died. He resides in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Australia.
Work
Between 1995 and 2001, Owen published numerous articles challenging aspects of established physics in alternative and independent periodicals, including Apeiron, Exposure, Nexus, Nemesis, and Reality and Meaning. His writings argued against the validity of Einstein's special theory of relativity, proposed a variable speed of light, and disputed the Big Bang model of cosmology. He also offered a particle-based interpretation of Young's double-slit experiment.
