'''Aleksey I. Nekrasov''' (A. I. Nekrasov) is a Russian researcher in electrical engineering associated with the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute for Electrification of Agriculture (VIESH) in Moscow. He is known for his work, with colleagues at VIESH, on single-wire resonant electric power transmission, an unconventional method of delivering electrical energy along a single conductor. He is listed in ''[[The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists]]''.

==Work==
Nekrasov has co-authored studies on the Single-Wire Electric Power System (SWEPS) developed at VIESH together with academician D. S. Strebkov, engineer S. V. Avramenko and other colleagues. The approach draws on ideas originally associated with Nikola Tesla and revives them in a modern experimental form. In the reported systems, electric power is transmitted along a single wire operating in a resonant idle regime, using reactive capacitive currents and oscillation frequencies in the kilohertz range to convey active power.

The group reports building and testing several such systems at different voltage levels and investigating transmission through non-metallic conducting channels, including conductive films and other media. Claims made for the method, such as low transmission losses across a variety of conductor materials, lie outside the mainstream of conventional power-engineering practice and place the work within the "new energy" and resonant-transmission research community rather than in the established electrical-engineering literature.
