'''Alexander G. Kyriakos''' is an independent physicist known for developing a "nonlinear theory of elementary particles" grounded in an electromagnetic interpretation of quantum field theory. He is listed in ''[[The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists]]''.

==Ideas==
Kyriakos proposes what he calls curvilinear waves electrodynamics (CWED), a nonlinear electromagnetic field theory from which, he argues, the Dirac electron theory emerges as a linear approximation. On this basis he develops a nonlinear theory of elementary particles in which the known interactions (other than gravity) are held to have an electromagnetic origin, and in which particle masses arise from nonlinearity rather than from a Higgs boson.

His papers have appeared on the arXiv preprint server and in journals such as ''Physics Essays'' and ''Prespacetime Journal'', and he has argued more broadly that fundamental physics is in a state of crisis and that some of its basic assumptions should be revised. These proposals lie outside the accepted framework of the Standard Model of particle physics.
