'''Alexander Vladimirovich Shpilman''' (Alexander A. Shpilman) is a researcher known for his work on the so-called "axion (spin) field," also referred to as the torsion field, and for designing devices intended to generate it. He is listed in ''[[The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists]]''.

==Work==
Shpilman proposes that every substance polarized by spin creates a "spin field" in the surrounding space, a concept he equates with the "torsion field" or "axion field" discussed in Russian-language torsion-field literature. He has published descriptions and an online almanac on the subject and has designed a series of generators intended to produce and manipulate this field, including electrodynamic designs using a rotating quadrupole electric field in a ferrite element and rotating permanent-magnet designs. One of his devices is the "Comfort-7" model, which he describes as producing axial, radial and azimuthal components of the axion field.

These ideas fall outside mainstream physics; torsion-field and axion-field generators of this kind are not recognized by the established scientific community.
