In &amp;quot;Possible gravitoelectric dipole moment of neutrinos and atmospheric and solar neutrino anomalies&amp;quot; (arXiv:hep-ph/0407031; &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Physics Essays&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, vol. 21, no. 2, 2008), Kuznetsov carries out quantum-mechanical calculations of transitions between left- and right-handed helicity states of Dirac neutrinos endowed with a gravitoelectric dipole moment interacting with a gravitational field. He argues that the zenith-angle asymmetry of atmospheric muon neutrinos and the deficit of solar electron neutrinos can be explained by helicity-flip transitions driven by the interaction of this dipole moment with the gravitational fields of the Earth and the Sun.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This proposal is an alternative to the mainstream explanation of neutrino anomalies in terms of neutrino oscillations and mass, and lies outside the accepted framework of particle physics.&lt;br /&gt;
