'''Ariel Marion Pons''' is a co-author of papers developing the "Cordus conjecture," an alternative conceptual model of the photon and of matter particles. They are listed in ''[[The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists]]''.

==Work==
Ariel Marion Pons is one of four co-authors — together with Dirk John Pons, Arion Douglas Pons, and Aiden Jasper Pons — of "Wave–particle duality: A conceptual solution from the cordus conjecture," published in ''Physics Essays'' (Vol. 25, No. 1, p. 132, 2012).

The Cordus conjecture proposes that a photon, and every matter "particle," is not a zero-dimensional point but has an internal structure the authors call a "cordus": two reactive ends a small finite distance apart, joined by a connecting fibril, with the ends energised in turn at a characteristic frequency. The authors use this structure to offer a deterministic reinterpretation of the single-photon double-slit experiment and of wave behaviour such as interference fringes, arguing that a simpler underlying reality lies beneath conventional quantum mechanics. These ideas lie outside the accepted framework of mainstream physics and were published in a journal devoted to speculative and foundational proposals.
