'''Bart Leplae''' is an independent researcher and author of numerous papers in the ''General Science Journal'' proposing alternative kinematic explanations for gravitation, aberration and solar activity. They are listed in ''[[The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists]]''.

==Work==
Leplae has published roughly nineteen papers through the ''General Science Journal''. A recurring theme is the treatment of light as following a curved path due to relativistic aberration, which they apply to the interpretation of stellar and planetary observations (for example in "The curvature of light due to relativistic aberration" and "Stellar and Planetary Aberration Working Model"). They argue that aberration is an effect taking place locally near the observer and use this to reinterpret observations such as Venus transits and Jupiter occultations.

A second line of work models the solar cycle as a consequence of the Coriolis effect acting between the rotating frames of the Milky Way and the Solar System, and relates variations in the Sun's velocity to sunspot activity (for example "Solar Cycle induced through Coriolis Effect"). Leplae has also written "Working Model" papers on topics including the twin paradox, magnetism and gravity, quantum teleportation and superfluidity. These proposals lie outside the accepted framework of general relativity and standard solar physics.
