'''Boris Semyonovich Dizhechko''' is a Russian author and independent theorist known for a framework he calls "New Cartesian Physics". He is listed in ''[[The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists]]''.

==Ideas==
Dizhechko's "New Cartesian Physics" is built on what he presents as Descartes' identity of space and matter: he argues that space ''is'' matter and matter ''is'' space, with fragments of "space-matter" moving relative to one another at speeds no greater than the speed of light. From this premise he proposes that electromagnetic waves are vibrations of space and that electric current is the movement of space associated with electrons. He states that his aim is to generalize existing physical theories while retaining Copernicus, Galileo, Newton and Lorentz and rejecting Einstein's relativity. These positions lie outside the scientific mainstream.

He has published numerous short papers through the General Science Journal and has participated in online discussions such as the Foundational Questions Institute (FQXi) essay forums.
