The standard treatment is the Standard Model: point-like quarks and leptons interacting by gauge boson exchange, with properties such as spin and magnetic moment as intrinsic and unexplained attributes. The work collected here largely rejects that starting point, on the grounds that a dimensionless point cannot possess spin, magnetic moment, finite mass or measured extent in any physically intelligible way.&lt;br /&gt;
