'''Emile Braunthal Weisman''' is an independent researcher and author known for an alternative model of matter and electromagnetic propagation. He is listed in ''[[The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists]]''.

==Work==
Weisman is the author of the book ''Atoms and Matter'' and of a paper titled "Propagation Speed of Electromagnetic Waves as a Function of the Density of the Space," in which he argues that the speed of light depends on the density of the space through which it travels rather than being a universal constant.

On his personal website he develops a particle model in which he dispenses with the classical ether and describes protons and electrons as vibrating and spinning entities attracted by the Coulomb force. In his account electrons fill the volume around an atomic nucleus, and the contraction of this volume creates empty space, which he interprets as the mechanism of gravitational attraction. These proposals lie outside the scientific mainstream.
