Vladimir Nikolaevich Fedorov (Russian: Владимир Николаевич Федоров) is an independent researcher based in Varna, Bulgaria, who develops an alternative Theory of Everything founded on de Broglie pilot-wave theory and a model of the physical vacuum. He is known chiefly as a repeat participant in the essay contests of the Foundational Questions Institute (FQXi), where he has presented his ideas on self-organization of matter, gravitation, and the foundations of physics.

Biography

Fedorov works outside the conventional academic system as an independent investigator of the foundations of physics. From 2017 onward he submitted a series of essays to the annual FQXi competitions and circulated his papers through ResearchGate, Academia.edu, and Scribd, developing across them a single unified framework that he presents as a candidate Theory of Everything.

Work

Fedorov's work proposes that the universe is built from a single underlying essence, which he describes as a toroidal gravitational pilot wave. In his interpretation, de Broglie pilot waves are treated not as abstract waves of probability but as real, material vortices of deterministic turbulence in a dynamic, fractal medium that he identifies with the physical vacuum.

From this premise he attempts to derive several phenomena within one scheme. He argues that the self-organization of matter arises from quantum parametric resonance and the formation of solitons, replacing the Schrödinger equation in his account with Mathieu-type equations. He treats inertia and gravitation as consequences of the same pilot-wave mechanism: rather than curvature of spacetime, he posits a change in the rate of propagation of gravitational interaction, with gravity described as a reactive force arising from the motion of gravitons within a gradient of that propagation speed in the physical vacuum. He has applied the framework to problems such as the Titius–Bode law of planetary spacing.

These proposals lie outside the mainstream of contemporary physics and have not been published in peer-reviewed physics journals; they are presented mainly through essay contests and preprint-style platforms.
