Cristian Dumitrescu is a Romanian mathematician and researcher known for his work on the geometrical and topological structure of magnetic fields and for contributions to alternative-energy and propulsion literature. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.

Work

Dumitrescu completed a Ph.D. in differential geometry at the Politehnica University of Bucharest in 1999, under the supervision of Constantin N. Udriste, with a dissertation titled "Geometrical and topological structure of magnetic fields generated around rectilinear wires." Related work appeared in the Balkan Journal of Geometry and Its Applications.

Beyond his mathematical work, Dumitrescu has published in venues associated with the alternative-energy community, including Infinite Energy magazine and the Institute for New Energy (INE). This body of work includes a treatment he describes as the mathematical principles of an "ITM," relating to inertial thrust / propulsion concepts. These ideas lie outside the accepted physics mainstream, and he is listed by de Climont in the "Experiment" category.
