Durwood L. Creed is a researcher and inventor associated with the "new energy" community, whose writings on zero-point energy and alternative energy conversion have appeared in that field's literature. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.

Work

Creed's best-known article, "Hollow Conductors vs. Zero-Point Energy", appeared in Infinite Energy magazine, arguing for energy effects associated with hollow conductors and the zero-point field. He has also written on a biomass gasification process said to convert biomass into a combustible gas, and on preliminary calorimetry testing to determine the energy content of a carbon-monoxide/hydrogen ("COH2") gas. His work was catalogued by the Institute for New Energy.

Claims that usable energy can be extracted from the zero-point field are not accepted within mainstream physics, and Creed's contributions have circulated through new-energy publications rather than peer-reviewed science journals.
