Kay Scarborough (born October 2, 1958) is an American analytical chemist who has worked chiefly in the environmental field. She is a supporter and collaborator of her father, [index.php?tab0=Scientists&tab1=Display&id=30 Alexander A. Scarborough], and has continued and helped edit his body of work in the areas of Expanding Earth, Planetary Motion, Solar System, and Origin of Hydrocarbon Fuels.

Biography

Scarborough earned a B.A. degree in French from Old Dominion University (1980), completing part of her credits at the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières, and a B.A. degree in Chemistry from Centenary College of Louisiana (1993). She has also taken numerous psychology courses.

She has worked as an analytical chemist, primarily in the environmental field, and resides in Marietta, Georgia. Alongside her scientific interests she has taken on a variety of other roles over the years, including work as an enumerator for the U.S. Census Bureau and as a part-time caregiver. Her personal interests include playing the piano, dancing, singing, writing, and travel.

Scarborough describes herself as a dissident, a stance she credits to her father, who encouraged her to think independently and to question established scientific consensus.
