Craig C. Douglas is an American computational and applied mathematician, a School of Energy Resources Distinguished Professor of Mathematics at the University of Wyoming, who is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists for his engagement with the cold fusion / new-energy community.
Work
Douglas is known in the mainstream for research in numerical analysis, multigrid methods and dynamic data-driven application systems, and has held positions at Yale University and the University of Kentucky before joining the University of Wyoming in 2008. Separately, his essay "Cold Fusion, Nanotechnology, and The Mouse That Roared" won first place in an essay contest and was published in Infinite Energy (2001), the magazine devoted to cold fusion and new-energy technologies — a field regarded as outside mainstream physics. It is this contribution that underlies his inclusion in the dissident list.
