Dave Thomas is a physicist and mathematician, mostly known for his writings and research on the paranormal (such as UFO sightings in Roswell, New Mexico and Aztec, New Mexico, as well as finding codings in other texts that dispute the credibility of the Bible Code). He is a graduate of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics and a masters degree in mathematics. He is known for his debunking of the Bible code. Thomas is currently president of New Mexicans for Science and Reason and a past president of the New Mexico Academy of Science, and is also a Fellow of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry.
