The Progressive Science Institute (PSI) is an independent research organization in Berkeley, California, directed by Glenn Borchardt. It is the vehicle through which Borchardt has published his work in scientific philosophy and cosmology, and the institutional home of the connected programme comprising The Ten Assumptions of Science, univironmental determinism, neomechanics, the Neomechanical Gravitation Theory and Infinite Universe Theory.

Stephen J Puetz, Borchardt's co-author on Universal Cycle Theory (2011) and the Neomechanical Gravitation Theory (2012), is a Senior Research Scientist at the institute.

The institute's public output runs mainly through its website, scientificphilosophy.com, and through Borchardt's blog The Scientific Worldview.
