Leslee A. Kulba (born 1963) is an American mathematics and physics teacher, technical writer, and journalist. She earned a B.S. in mathematics from Michigan State University's Lyman Briggs College and went on to teach mathematics and physics at the high school and college levels. She served as technical editor of the Electric Spacecraft Journal (ESJ) and later worked as a reporter and columnist in western North Carolina.

Biography

Kulba completed a B.S. in mathematics at Michigan State University's Lyman Briggs College, a residential college focused on the natural sciences. She subsequently taught mathematics and physics at both the high school and college levels.

In 1990 she met Charles A. Yost, founder of the Electric Spacecraft Journal, a periodical intended to network researchers whose ideas fell outside mainstream scientific channels. Kulba became the journal's technical editor, working alongside executive editor Richard L. Hull and Yost, and contributed numerous articles to the publication.

Kulba later settled in the Asheville, North Carolina area, residing in Leicester, and became active in local journalism. She served as City Council correspondent for The Asheville Tribune and wrote for the Mountain Guardian, and her reporting on local government and policy appeared in outlets including the Carolina Journal and TribPapers.

Work

At the Electric Spacecraft Journal Kulba wrote and edited articles on electromagnetism, electrostatics, plasma physics, propulsion, and experimental measurement over a period spanning the mid-1990s through the early 2010s. She stated that her chief interest was explaining electromagnetism in terms of the mass and charge of protons and electrons, arguing that a rigorous treatment on those terms could account for physical phenomena in terms of fundamental particles and forces. Within the dissident-science community she was known for critiques of Einstein's theory of relativity.
