Ron Milione (Ronald P. Milione) is an American electrical engineer, educator and independent researcher with a career of more than forty years in radio-frequency (RF), radar, and electronic-warfare systems. Holding a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the City University of New York (CUNY), he has worked as a principal technical leader across the aerospace and defense industries, and pursues experimental research in electromagnetics, plasma systems, and anti-gravity propulsion — interests that connect his engineering work to the frontier-science community of the John Chappell Natural Philosophy Society.
Biography
Milione earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the City University of New York (CUNY). He has spent his professional life in the United States working in RF, radar and electronic-warfare engineering, and has combined that industrial career with university-level teaching and technical authorship.
Career
Milione has more than forty years of experience in RF, radar, and electronic-warfare engineering, working as a principal technical leader on the design, development, and implementation of complete systems. His engineering career spans the aerospace and defense sectors, including work in RF and wireless mesh networking, radio-communication systems, and technical R&D, with earlier positions in the telecommunications and computing industries. He has been associated with defense electronic-warfare programs — among them the AN/SLQ-20B countermeasures set, a shipboard electronic-warfare system — and holds professional certifications and FCC licenses in addition to a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.
In parallel with his industry work he has taught electrical engineering, networking and programming, serving as chief instructor for the Global Maritime and Transportation School (GMATS) division of the United States Merchant Marine Academy and as an adjunct professor at St. John's University and Briarcliffe College.
Research interests
Alongside his professional engineering work, Milione has carried out experimental studies in electromagnetics, anti-gravity propulsion systems, plasma systems, and space-segment radio-communication systems.
