Daniel Dzimano
Known forRedshift and the zero-point energy

Daniel Dzimano is a researcher known as the co-author, with Barry J. Setterfield, of the paper "The Redshift and the Zero Point Energy" (Journal of Theoretics, 2003). He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.

Work

In "The Redshift and the Zero Point Energy," Setterfield and Dzimano argue that anomalies in cosmological observations, including quantized redshifts and the redshift/distance relationship inferred from distant Type Ia supernovae, can be explained if the energy density of the vacuum zero-point energy (ZPE) increases with time, rather than by the expansion of space-time. This proposal falls outside the mainstream cosmological interpretation of redshift.
