Cornelis Slenters (also cited as "Cornel" Slenters) is a Switzerland-based author known for the self-published book Breakthrough: the Origins of Mind, Space and Time and an associated framework he calls the "LOTA philosophy of science". He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.

Work

Breakthrough: the Origins of Mind, Space and Time was first released in 1996 through ABC+E Communications in Borex, Switzerland, with a later edition issued under his own imprint SLENTERS-research (2011); the book is held in library catalogs (WorldCat, ISBN 9782940185009). In it he presents what he calls the "LOTA philosophy of science", a self-described unifying framework intended to reconcile the physical sciences with mind, body, and consciousness, drawing on both Western scientific and Eastern philosophical ideas and treating consciousness as primary. He maintained an associated website presence (originally slenters.ch, later slenters.info) on which he issued open challenges inviting scientists to debate his theory. His ideas fall outside mainstream science; the claims he makes for his framework are self-published assertions without independent scholarly validation.
