Danny R. Faulkner is an astronomer and young-earth creationist. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Background
Faulkner holds an MS in physics from Clemson University and an MA and PhD in astronomy from Indiana University. He taught astronomy and physics at the University of South Carolina Lancaster for more than 26 years, and since 2013 has been a staff astronomer at the creationist organization Answers in Genesis. He advocates young-earth creationism, a position that rejects the mainstream scientific account of the age of the universe and of stellar and cosmological evolution.
Views on geocentrism
Within the creationist community Faulkner has written critically about geocentrism, the claim that the Earth is physically at the center of the universe. Examining both biblical and scientific arguments advanced by geocentrists, he concluded that they are poorly founded, in articles such as "Geocentrism and Creation" and "Geocentric Gobbledygook." He argues against geocentrism while maintaining a young-earth creationist framework that is itself outside the scientific mainstream.
