Michael Shane Racine is an American physician and board-certified endocrinologist specializing in adult and pediatric endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolic disease. Biography

Racine earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed a dual residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Loma Linda University. He subsequently completed fellowship training in both adult endocrinology and pediatric endocrinology at the University of Michigan Medical Center.

He has held academic appointments as an assistant professor and clinical instructor at Loma Linda University, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), City of Hope, and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. While based in Michigan, he practiced endocrinology in the Grand Rapids area, including at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, and resided in East Grand Rapids. He later relocated to Oregon, where he has practiced endocrinology, including with Evergreen Family Medicine.

Work

Racine is board certified in endocrinology and treats patients across all age groups for endocrine and metabolic disorders. His clinical and research interests center on the use of diet and lifestyle interventions for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases, including metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
