New Energy News (NEN) was the newsletter of the Institute for New Energy (INE), a monthly (20–30 page) publication reporting on "new energy" and cold fusion research. It was founded and long edited, published, and funded by Hal Fox through the Emerging Energy Marketing Firm (EEMF) group in Salt Lake City; later Patrick G. Bailey took over as its contact, editor, and publisher.
History
Hal Fox published NEN as a printed, mailed newsletter until about 1999–2000, when it became an emailed newsletter. It ceased publication after May 2005. It is closely tied to the Journal of New Energy and the broader Institute for New Energy community.
