The Indian Journal of Theoretical Physics (IJTP) is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal founded in 1953 by the physicist Kulesh Chandra Kar, together with the Calcutta Institute of Theoretical Physics which he also established. It publishes work in theoretical physics and applied mathematics and provided a forum for the discussion of new and alternative topics in physics, including Kar's own theory of radiation.
History
Kar created the institute and its journal to encourage independent theoretical research in India. The journal continues to be published by the Calcutta Institute of Theoretical Physics.
