Vladimir S. Netchitailo is a physicist and independent cosmological researcher, and the author of the World-Universe Model (WUM), also referred to as World Universe Cosmology (WUC). A laser physicist by training, Netchitailo developed an interest in cosmology and has elaborated the World-Universe Model over many years, uploading his first papers on viXra in 2013 and subsequently publishing a series of articles in the Journal of High Energy Physics, Gravitation and Cosmology. He presents the model as an alternative to the standard Big Bang cosmology.

Views and research

The World-Universe Model is proposed by Netchitailo as a unified framework intended to describe the origin, evolution, structure, and parameters of what he terms the "World," in contrast to the Big Bang Model.

According to WUM, the World is a 3-dimensional hypersphere on the surface of a 4-dimensional "Nucleus of the World," a 4D ball that expands in a fourth spatial dimension. Netchitailo bases the model on the assumption that the World is finite and expands inside a surrounding "Universe" at a speed equal to the electrodynamic constant c, with the Universe acting as an unlimited source of energy that continuously enters the World across its boundary.

The model is built around the concept of a "Cosmic Medium" composed of particles (protons, electrons, photons, neutrinos, and additional particles). Netchitailo holds that two fundamental parameters, expressed in various rational exponents, determine the macro and micro features of the World: the fine-structure constant α, which is constant, and a dimensionless quantity Q, which increases with time and serves as a measure of the size and age of the World.

Netchitailo further argues that the model addresses a number of open problems in contemporary cosmology and astrophysics, including the angular-momentum problem in the formation and evolution of galaxies and extrasolar systems. WUM proposes several types of dark matter particles and predicts their masses, and offers a framework relating various fundamental constants.
