Alexander Vladimirovich Shpilman (Alexander A. Shpilman) is a researcher known for his work on the so-called "axion (spin) field," also referred to as the torsion field, and for designing devices intended to generate it. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Work
Shpilman proposes that every substance polarized by spin creates a "spin field" in the surrounding space, a concept he equates with the "torsion field" or "axion field" discussed in Russian-language torsion-field literature. He has published descriptions and an online almanac on the subject and has designed a series of generators intended to produce and manipulate this field, including electrodynamic designs using a rotating quadrupole electric field in a ferrite element and rotating permanent-magnet designs. One of his devices is the "Comfort-7" model, which he describes as producing axial, radial and azimuthal components of the axion field.
These ideas fall outside mainstream physics; torsion-field and axion-field generators of this kind are not recognized by the established scientific community.
