Arthur A. Axelrad (MD, PhD, FRSC) was an Emeritus University Professor at the University of Toronto whose academic career was in cell biology and hematology. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists for his public support of aether-based free-energy research.

Academic career

Axelrad worked for decades in experimental hematology and the study of hematopoiesis, publishing in journals such as Blood and the International Journal of Cell Cloning. He was the doctoral advisor of researcher Paulo N Correa, with whom he co-authored papers in cell biology.

Aether Motor and free energy

Axelrad publicly endorsed the "Aether Motor" developed by Paulo and Alexandra Correa, a device the Correas presented as generating electrical power without conventional external input, building on the "Orgone Motor" concept associated with Wilhelm Reich. In 2002 he issued an open letter, titled in reference to Pulsed Abnormal Glow Discharges (PAGD), aether motors, and free energy, describing a demonstration he had witnessed and expressing his support for the work. These free-energy and aether claims fall well outside the scientific mainstream.
