Space-Time and Beyond
Space-Time and Beyond (E. P. Dutton, 1975; later reissued by Bantam) was created "in conversation with" physicists Jack Sarfatti and Fred Alan Wolf. Toben supplied the book's drawings and captions, using cartoons and simple diagrams to present speculative ideas linking modern physics with consciousness and mysticism. The book discusses concepts such as the "luxon" hypothesis and other speculative extensions of relativity and quantum theory, and it explicitly notes that many of the theories it presents are highly speculative. It became a widely circulated title in the 1970s New Age and popular-physics literature.
