Branyon Manning May is an astrophysicist and author known for his critique of the Big Bang model of cosmology from a young-earth creationist perspective. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Background
May holds a B.S. in physics from Angelo State University and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in astrophysics from the University of Alabama. His graduate research concerned X-ray and infrared emission from distant galaxies and its contribution to the large-scale radiation signature of the universe, and he held a research fellowship through NASA's Graduate Student Researchers Program. He has since worked in Christian education, serving as general manager of the World Video Bible School, and contributes to the creationist ministry Apologetics Press.
