Brian Davis
Known for"Windows of Heaven" young-earth creation cosmology

Brian Davis is an independent researcher and author known for a young-earth creationist cosmology he calls "The Windows of Heaven and the Physics of Creation." He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.

Ideas

On his self-published websites Davis proposes that the "windows of heaven" described in the Genesis flood account operated as a distinct repulsive force that moved space itself, causing time to pass rapidly for distant stars while only months passed on Earth. He argues that this framework accounts for the apparent great age of distant celestial objects created, in his view, only thousands of years ago, and that it can explain observations such as galactic redshift without recourse to dark matter. These proposals are religiously motivated and lie entirely outside the scientific mainstream; they are also disputed within creationist circles, where the biblical "windows of heaven" are commonly read as figurative language.
