Christfried Rasch is a German-language author who has published alternative ideas about electromagnetic theory and the structure of the atom. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Ideas
Rasch is the author of the book Spannung im Raum: Newtons und Maxwells Spannungen. Nahwirkung + Drehfelder im Atom ("Tension in Space: Newton's and Maxwell's stresses. Contiguous action + rotating fields in the atom"), ISBN 3-86137-992-9. In it he treats forces as stresses ("Spannungen") in space, relating Newtonian and Maxwellian forces, and argues for a contiguous-action (Nahwirkung) picture in which rotating fields ("Drehfelder") account for structure within the atom. These proposals are outside the framework of accepted physics.
