Claude Ziad Bayeh (also published as Claude Ziad El-Bayeh) is a Lebanese electrical engineer and researcher. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists for his alternative model of the periodic table of the elements. He holds a B.Sc. in electrical and electronic engineering from the Lebanese University and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and renewable energy from the Université du Québec (École de Technologie Supérieure), Montreal.
Alternative periodic table
Alongside his mainstream engineering work in smart grids and renewable energy, Bayeh introduced what he calls "Bayeh's Theoretical Periodic Table of Elements," a reorganized and three-dimensional arrangement of the chemical elements, together with a related "Snake periodic table of elements." His proposed table is one of many alternative periodic-table designs catalogued in independent collections of the subject. This work is an unconventional reformulation that sits outside the standard IUPAC arrangement of the elements.
