Conrado Salas Cano is a researcher and author known for his work on cold fusion, also called low energy nuclear reactions. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Work
Salas Cano was a co-author, with Hideo Kozima, John Warner and John Dash and others, of papers applying the trapped-neutron catalyzed fusion (TNCF) model to cold fusion phenomena. This work included a "consistent explanation of topography change and nuclear transmutation in surface layers of cathodes" observed in electrolytic cold fusion experiments, a topic associated with the Portland State University cold fusion group. The TNCF model attempts to account for reported transmutation and excess-heat effects using background neutrons and standard nuclear physics. Cold fusion and low energy nuclear reactions remain outside the accepted scientific mainstream.
He has also written and spoken publicly on cold fusion and energy issues.
