Denys Lépinard is a French author and independent theorist known for developing a "new wave mechanics" in which matter is described as made of waves in a background medium. They are listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Ideas
Lépinard proposes a wave-based ontology of matter, presented on their website ontostat.com and in the book Nouvelle Mécanique Ondulatoire (NMO) ("New Wave Mechanics"), published by Éditions du Panthéon in 2019 (ISBN 978-2-7547-4620-5). In this view an underlying medium is traversed by waves that may be either converging ("advanced") toward a centre or diverging ("delayed") from it, with the recurring repositioning of each vibration's centre. Lépinard argues that mainstream physics leaves relativity and quantum mechanics disconnected and resorts to constructs such as dark matter and dark energy, and offers the wave model as an attempt to account for phenomena including gravitation, electric charge, and electromagnetic radiation. These proposals lie outside the accepted framework of contemporary physics.
