Frank Germano is an aerospace engineer and independent researcher known for his work replicating and improving Nikola Tesla's bladeless ("disk") turbine and for advocacy in the alternative- or "new energy" field. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Work
Germano runs Tinkerer's Obsession Labs LLC, through which he pursues experimental energy and propulsion projects, most prominently a bladeless disk turbine based on Tesla's 1913 boundary-layer turbine design. He reports having built and operated a replicated Tesla turbine and, on his listing in Jean de Climont's directory, is credited with keeping such a turbine in continuous operation without component failure since October 2000. He also documents research into Tesla's coils, wireless power transmission, and the "Magnifying Transmitter," alongside a conceptual "Bio-Sphere" airship.
His energy claims and Tesla-derived devices fall outside mainstream engineering practice and have not been independently validated in the peer-reviewed literature. He is catalogued in the PES Network (PESWiki) "new energy" directory of Tesla-turbine researchers.
