Jim Newburn is an American real estate developer and organizer active in the alternative-energy and dissident-science communities, best known for his involvement with Cold Fusion research and his administrative work for the Natural Philosophy Alliance (NPA).

Newburn is a real estate developer based in Ellicott City, Maryland, United States, associated with Newburn Development Corporation in Howard County, Maryland.
Work
Newburn served as a board member and treasurer of the Natural Philosophy Alliance and acted as the Conference Coordinator for the organization's twentieth annual conference, NPA 20, held July 11–13, 2013 at College Park, Maryland. He was previously a board member of Steven B. Krivit's New Energy Institute, a nonprofit organization supporting research and education on low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR), the field also referred to as cold fusion.
