Aloys Kokaly (also written Alois Kokaly) was the founder and editor of the German biotechnical journal Implosion – Biotechnische Schriftenreihe, through which most of the original writings of Viktor Schauberger and his son Walter Schauberger on water, vortex movement and implosion technology were made available to a wider readership.
Biography
Kokaly was based in Neviges in the Ruhr area of Germany, where he administered the Silvio-Gesell-Haus. He came into personal contact with Viktor Schauberger and witnessed some of Schauberger's experiments at first hand, including the growing of a wheat ear in pure sand without humus.
Together with Walter Schauberger he founded the Biotechnische Akademie (Biotechnical Academy) around the end of the 1950s, an organisation that promoted an integrated ecological and economic outlook through its environmental research during the 1960s. Kokaly also founded the Verein zur Förderung der Biotechnik (Association for the Promotion of Biotechnology), which acted as publisher of his journal and distributed copper garden implements made according to Viktor Schauberger's principles.
Work
In 1960 Kokaly edited and republished Viktor Schauberger's work Die geniale Bewegungskraft. From the late 1950s and early 1960s onward he issued the periodical Implosion, which appeared several times a year and reached well over one hundred numbered issues; individual issues, subtitled Biotechnische Schriftenreihe or Biotechnische Nachrichten, carried articles on water dynamics, spiral and vortex phenomena, soil and forestry questions, and alternative energy concepts, with Walter Schauberger acting as scientific advisor. Kokaly further organised a series of Biotechnische Lehrgänge (biotechnical courses) held in Neviges, at which Walter Schauberger taught.
