Astrophysics is the application of physics to astronomical objects — stellar structure and evolution, compact objects, and the energetics of galaxies. On this wiki the disputes concern the models applied rather than the observations themselves.

Topics disputed on this wiki

  • Stellar energy sources, including proposals other than nuclear fusion.
  • The interpretation of black holes and whether the objects so identified require a singularity.
  • Plasma processes as an alternative to gravitational collapse — see Plasma Cosmology.
  • Tests of modified gravitational potentials against stellar structure, as in Ioannis Iraklis Haranas's work.
