==Abstract==

It is shown that if space is modeled as an elastic medium that propagates spherical, scalar quantum-waves, then the ratio of the square of the wave velocity to c<sup>2</sup> reveals the same results as the familiar time dilation formula that is produced from the Schwarzchild G<sub>44</sub> component. The Schwarzchild radius derived from the scalar-wave model is shown to be equal to the radius of the universe, implying that there are no gravitational singularities present within the radius of the Universe.
