Dr. Gerald Brown earned his doctorate in Power Electronics from McMaster University, Ontario, Canada. After working in Germany for four years on transportation drive systems he transferred to Atlanta, Georgia, USA where he led a team that developed a very successful AC drive system for the world's largest mine trucks. In 2004 he joined the faculty at Cedarville University, Ohio, USA where he teaches courses on circuits, electromagnetics, electrical machines and power systems.
