Biography

Reed holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree along with a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). According to his professional profile, he pursued his studies at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

He is based in Baltimore, Maryland, where the World Institute for Scientific Exploration maintains its headquarters.

Work

Reed serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Treasurer of the World Institute for Scientific Exploration, and is a member of its executive committee. The Institute, which traces its reorganization to a 2011 meeting held in Boulder, Colorado, was established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable corporation registered in Maryland. It describes its mission as conducting and promoting research on complementary, integrative, and traditional medicine, especially energy medicine, new and low-cost forms of energy, consciousness, parapsychology, and other unexplained phenomena, and applying that research to the development of technologies intended to address problems in biomedicine, energy, and agriculture.

For many years Reed has directed the organization's publication, the WISE Journal, which compiles research spanning medicine, energy technologies, agriculture, education, and related fields. He also leads the Institute's Health and Medicine Division.
