Peter Sujak (born 10 July 1957) is a Slovak nuclear physicist based in Prague, Czech Republic, who is known as a critic of the main physical theories of the 20th century, including relativity and quantum mechanics, and as a proponent of aether-based and unified approaches to fundamental physics.
Biography
Sujak was born on 10 July 1957 in Šahy, in the south of Slovakia. He studied at Comenius University in Bratislava from 1976 to 1981, earning a Master's degree in experimental nuclear physics in 1981, followed by a doctorate in nuclear physics in 1982. After graduating he worked for the Nuclear Power Plant Research Institute in Trnava. In 1985 he took part in a one-month research study at the Nuclear Research Facility in Dubna, Russia. From 1987 to 1990 he worked for the headquarters of the Radiation Monitoring Centre in Prague.
Since 1991 he has worked for the computer and software company Elektra-Olymp in Prague, moving to part-time employment there in 2007. From 2008 to 2010 he undertook additional study in the physical foundations of contemporary fundamental physics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University in Prague. Since 2007 he has worked full-time as an independent physicist on fundamental problems in physics. He is chairman of the non-profit organization Gluon o.s., based in Prague and dedicated to promoting new scientific information.
Scientific contributions
Sujak's work advocates rejecting what he regards as the principal physical theories of the 20th century, particularly special and general relativity and quantum mechanics, in favour of an aether-based framework. In papers such as Call to Repel the Physical Theories of the 20th Century, he sets out what he describes as historical, philosophical and physical reasons for denying these theories, and offers his own accounts of gravity and inertial forces, the substance of mass, the nature of time, and the double-slit experiment. He has pursued the unification of quantum mechanics, relativity and classical physics, and has presented his views at conferences of the John Chappell Natural Philosophy Society, the Natural Philosophy Alliance and the American Physical Society. Since 2010 he has worked on a book with the working title Basic physical principles of unified physics in the 21st century. In 2018 he published a second edition of his book Einstein's Destruction of Physics.
His earlier professional publications, produced during his career in nuclear physics, addressed neutron dosimetry and radiation measurement at nuclear power plants.
