Alexander Mitkovsky
Known forCriticism of special relativity and claimed mathematical errors in physics

Alexander Mitkovsky (publishing as A. Mitkovskiy) is an author of papers critical of modern theoretical physics, in particular of Einstein's theory of relativity. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.

Work

Between 2005 and 2010 Mitkovsky posted a series of papers to the General Science Journal, a self-publishing venue for heterodox scientific work. In "About One Mathematical Mistake and a Century of Errors in Physics" (2007) he claims to identify a mathematical error that he argues has propagated through a century of physics; the paper, which grew out of his study of the properties of radiation, was written in two parts and presented by the author as a definitive statement on the subject. In "The Relativity of Time and the Postulates of Special Relativity" (2005–2006) he challenges the postulates of special relativity.

His other contributions to the same journal include "About Measurements," "The Physical Reasons for Changes in Climate," and mathematical notes such as "Reasoning Regarding Beal's Conjecture" and "The 'Last Riddle'." These writings sit outside the scientific mainstream and were not published in peer-reviewed physics journals.
