Anatoli S. Kuznetsov is a physicist known for proposing that neutrinos possess a "gravitoelectric dipole moment" and that this property could account for observed neutrino anomalies. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.

Work

In "Possible gravitoelectric dipole moment of neutrinos and atmospheric and solar neutrino anomalies" (arXiv:hep-ph/0407031; Physics Essays, vol. 21, no. 2, 2008), Kuznetsov carries out quantum-mechanical calculations of transitions between left- and right-handed helicity states of Dirac neutrinos endowed with a gravitoelectric dipole moment interacting with a gravitational field. He argues that the zenith-angle asymmetry of atmospheric muon neutrinos and the deficit of solar electron neutrinos can be explained by helicity-flip transitions driven by the interaction of this dipole moment with the gravitational fields of the Earth and the Sun.

This proposal is an alternative to the mainstream explanation of neutrino anomalies in terms of neutrino oscillations and mass, and lies outside the accepted framework of particle physics.
