Ideas
Balint rejects the relativistic concept of time dilation, arguing that there is no dilatation of time. In a 2013 text titled "Relativitätstheorie und Max Planck Institute: Vorwärts in die Vergangenheit!" ("Relativity theory and the Max Planck Institute: Forward into the past!"), circulated through the German-language collection Kritische Stimmen zur Relativitätstheorie ("Critical voices on the theory of relativity"), he contends that experiments cited in support of relativity by the Max Planck Institute do not confirm Einstein's theory. He has also publicly accused proponents of relativity of suppressing dissenting views. His arguments are presented partly in a satirical, artistic form and lie outside the scientific mainstream, which regards time dilation as an experimentally well-confirmed prediction of relativity.
