Andrew E. Rothovius (1919–2009) was an American writer and self-educated polymath from Milford, New Hampshire, known in dissident-science circles as a contributor to the new-energy magazine Infinite Energy. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.

Work

Rothovius was a prolific journalist and essayist who wrote thousands of columns for New Hampshire papers including the Milford Cabinet and the Peterborough Transcript, and contributed to FATE, Yankee and the Old Farmer's Almanac. His interests ranged widely over history, folklore and anomalous ("Fortean") topics.

In the field of new energy he wrote the article "The Dawning of the New Energy Age," which appeared (reprinted from the Peterborough Transcript) in the first issue of Infinite Energy magazine in 1995. Infinite Energy, founded by Eugene Mallove, is devoted to cold fusion and other unconventional energy claims that lie outside mainstream physics.
